Beatiful ridge climbing, and we were all alone on it the whole day looking at about 10 groups getting to the northface and millions on the normal route. The temperatures were very high with zero above 4000 m.
However, the snow conditions to Colle di Montandayné were perfect, nice and hard snow the whole way. The ridge itself involved some nice routefinding and we did the whole climb in crampons.
When arriving torwards the exit of the northface the snow has gotten very rotten due to the high temperatures and we decided to go down before point 3975 m, getting Alexei in a smaller adventure 😉
Material we used: 40 m rope (not shorter!), 0.5-1 camalot, a small set of nuts, 3 longer draws, axe and crampons
