After the Granges hamlet, above La Fouly, follow the road along 200m, then take a path that descends on the right and crosses a bridge. Keep going on the face to the left of the stream, on the cross country ski slope. Just before the first houses in Ferret, climb up in the clearing towards the Planproz pasture and cross a magnificent larch tree forest. Reach the main N ridge that leads to the top of La Dotze. Pay extra care on the north slopes below the summit as they may be dangerous. It is advisable to follow the ridgeline as far as the top. Once you have reached it, a marvellous view opens in front of you, encompassing Mont Dolent, the Grand Lui and the wild Mont Ferret faces in the background.
Make the descent via your uptrack.
